TARYN'S BLOG

This week I want to write about so much.This week is our last blog post so I would like to tell you about all through this year.Like in  March we went skiing it was so much fun and we got tough how to ski then we got to go off the lift and ski down.When I went down with Ms.Deyenberg I did 3 summer salts down the hill and my ski hit my head but, it was a pretty steep hill after all.Before  I went down I did not know it was that steep and that’s how I did that.It was the most funnest thing I have done in all my life.

Another one I would like to point out is Marvin.We did that in October it was so fun makeing a movie about yourself and  letting it go into the movie theater and let other people watch it and, let people learn a little more about you.My favorite part about it was that we got to make avatars of our self and we could talk or  the computer could because it had voices you could use.Also give Ms.Deyenberer  a comment about how hard she has been working through  the year.

One more I would like share is Canadian please my teacher put so much work into thius so week could use cameras and book the computer lab and help but,still you name it and  she has done so many things for it.I liked doing canadian please becuase we got to run the movie and make the videos and it was so much fun!

This week I’v been acting canadian becuase it’s also part of project to.We are doing a video that is called Canadian Please.This week every body is acting not normal because there acting to much canadian.The video is supost to be about us,and how we live.In this video we are doing it and we get to film it so we made the video.We also have been doing skpye in class.We were  skying Hamilton and talking about things I forget.We also w.ent swiming this week and I swam at  the big end.I also went off the diving board.In math we are doing something on the ds it’s called Scribblenauts it fun.In computer’s we are also doing something called Jog the web it’s about internet saftey.In PE we have bben doing Foot ball it’s fun but if you get hit by the ball it hurts expesilly if it hit your chest.In math we are doing measurement and we have been measureing things in our class and in the hallways.In science we did adaptation cards and we had to have the name of the creature but were aload to add funny things like supper speedysnail or something.We also did string art in art for father’s day it was fun I did a heart with the word love in it.

This week we are doing alot of things and done allot of things like we did a math test and starting to go look at wetlands for science and on our math test we did 2D and 3D shapes and along with that we are makeing a math movie and we get to make them not Ms.Deyenberg.We are also doing track and field things in GYM and we have been doing relays,high jump,running and standing and running long jump.I think out of school Track and field is my most favorite thing to do at school and I like it so much I even do it at home,and we are going to start to do tug a war and  that’s my favorite because I am strong and that’s what I’m good at it.We are also going to our field trip on Tuesday and we are going to Beauvais lake I can’t wait and I’m going to ask my mom if she could come to my fled trip and to track and she to find be there because my house is close another to get there.In L.A we are also doing ds and reading and in the ds we do Professor Latin and we have to Fond a cat and save her and give her  back to her owner and we have to find the owner and give her the cat so it’s alot of work.

This week Mr.Vandyk our teacher is subing for Ms.Deyenberg for 3 days  but we after he is  going back but,we are lucky that he came to subb.We  also had  day today so we were sopost to be wearing sporty things most of the boys in my class were wearing Edmonton Oilers jersey because they like them.PS Mr.vandyk likes them to.I also can’t belive that they lost the playoffs or they would have been playing for  the Stanly Cup.We are doing a podcast today about Canada I think it will be fun.This week we only had 3 days of school becuase it was Victoria Day on Monday and Tuesday the teachers had there school so we did not have to have school.We also had a spelling test on math shapes like rhombus or parallelagram and more.On wednesday we had our needles again.Today we also had Roots of Empathy.We read a book called “Welcoming Babys”It was a good book.We are also doing a Chemisry test on monday.This week talk about rain wow it rained so hard my flowers fell and the big caragana’s fell and there HUGE and I have to walk through them to get home it sucks because you get socked in water. This week there is so much to talk about this.We did a video conference this week with Big Vallely  they experiments that they did were called the Magic Jug ,there was 15 ml ethanol and a match .They drop the match in the ethanol and it went BOOM.It scared our class because we did not know what was going to happen.We also did geocaching this week  we found pieces of paper that said thing like is this a chemical change or a physical  crushing a tomato.Then we  would write it down on the clip board.Then we kepped looking for more  geocaches.We also have doing Professor Layton it is a game on a DS it is about  solving puzzles to help people.You also half to help a Queen find it kitty named Claudia.We also do on game were  you half to get 3 wolfs  and  3 chickens across a river but the chiken dies if it is with 2 or 3 wolfs , and on the raft you can only put two on it,it was trickey ,but after I got it so a lot of people asked more for help.There was a never ggame when you had to balence things on this balence board and way them out until they were the same.

This week there was so much this week we had a band concert and I was the only saxophone ther me,so I had to play some solos by my self.We also have ran more this week we have ran 22km  this week,so in total we have ran40 km  and we started 2 and a half weeks ago.  We are also haveing a field trip on June 8 we are going to Beavvais lake to look at bugs and wet land.My teacher found a bug and it sucks up water and shoots it out it’s but to move.This week we are also doing high jump we are seeing how high  we can jump so we will be good when we have our track and field.I am so exited because the last two years because last year it was cold and I could not do it also the other year ago I broke my arm.I broke my arm because i was in  soccer and a boy kicked a ball when I was in net and it hit  my arm so hard it snaped my bone then the docter put a thing to hold my arm in place then he took it off for 3 weeks then he finely figered out that my arm was broken,so i had to wear it for 3 weeks more so I mist every thing on the last day like swimming.

This week we got to watch a movie,it was called hatchet.We had already read the book so week got towatch  the movie.

This movie was about a boy named Brian fling to his dad but he crashed because the pilot had a heart attack and there was no more fuel.He crashed by a lake.  We were told to write 5 things we would bring.

The things I would bring are:

Axe -  I would bring this item because you could cut wood,make a fire with a rock because the axe rubbing the rock makes sparks.    If I made a spark and it hit grass it would start a fire.

Emergency transmitter – I would bring this so I could signal a plane or someone thats close.    If I get lost I could turn it on the signal a plane.

Tarp – I would take this item and make a house with it.    I would take a stick and put it in the ground with the tarp and the stick so it would hold it on the ground.

Food – I would take a pack a food like soup grounds in a bag.   If I found a sea shell I would cook it over the fire.  I would also bring carrot seads and sunflowere seads.  Then I would plant them.

Gun – I would take this so if a bear showed up  I could shoot it instead of it attacking me.   This gun that I would take would have bullets with it.(inside of it)

So that is what I would bring!

This week has been a crazy week.It has been crazy hair day and ,we have had blizzards on and off and on and off all week.There was know power because of the storm last week.Yesterday  we were driving and it was so windy,our nobours tree fell out of the groun by it’s roots and hit the trawmiler and dented it .Then we went up the block there was more tress down up by a park on the other side of town there were down in the yard and there were lucky that they did not have fence because it would thave gbeen broken because it was so leaned down.Then went we went up to the other side of town we found more trees up by my dad work.Then my freind said that there noubers tree fell down then it hit the power pole now he does not have power.When that happend to me we had  to have cold tuna sandwiches because  there was power.So  when we did not have power my dad did not have to go to work ya who.I was so excited.We also had crazy hair day to day and  for crazy hair day I back comed my hair then it was so puffy but,some people died there hair and put pencils and lots more.

Dear Mr.Vandyk this is saddest week  of all because your leaving, you were such a help at our school and in our class because of the stuff you have helped us with like math,spelling,social, and you name it I wish you could stay you are the best teacher of  times.Yep that even means when you were a baby.You are pleaser to have at our school you help every body when they need help and you carry them if  they get hurt.I bet every body that is in your class in Australia will speak the same about you as we do.But since  you are teaching there for a year they will even say better because they will get to see you teach every class instead of a few classes.I love your humor and your farmer voice and others.Thank you for teaching our class it was so much fun like skiing and snowboarding that was something I would never  ever ever ever ever  forget
